Every therapy question is valid.

Let’s get you the answers you need, so you can feel more informed and confident in starting this work.

It’s natural to have questions about therapy, and I want to make sure you feel as informed and at ease as possible. Below are answers to common questions about therapy, getting started, privacy, fees, and how I work. If you don’t see yours, I’m happy to connect.

  • I provide individual psychotherapy for adults (18+) who have experienced trauma and are navigating related challenges—such as anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or relationship patterns that feel difficult.

I do not currently offer therapy for children, teens, or couples.

  • First Step

Start by scheduling a free 15–20 minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to connect, answer any questions you may have, and see whether we’re a good fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, we’ll set a regular appointment time and go over next steps.

What can I expect in my first session?

Before our first session, I’ll send you intake forms and a few self-assessment tools to complete. These help clarify what’s bringing you in and guide our initial conversation.

In our first session, we’ll review that information together and begin exploring your goals and hopes for therapy. If time allows, we may even begin deeper work right away.

How do I schedule an appointment?

After our consultation call, we’ll choose a day and time that works for you and set a regular schedule moving forward.

I aim to keep sessions consistent to support your progress.

  • Sessions & Telehealth

Sessions are currently offered via secure telehealth. You’ll receive a link and a reminder 24 hours before your scheduled session. While you can join from a phone or laptop, a laptop is recommended for stability and ease of use. I also suggest using earbuds or headphones, especially if we’ll be incorporating bilateral stimulation (BLS).

    How long is each session?

Sessions typically run 50 to 60 minutes.

How often do I need to come in?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. We’ll revisit frequency together as your needs evolve.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule to avoid a cancellation fee. This helps me offer the spot to another client and keeps scheduling running smoothly.

  • What therapy approaches do you use?

I use a blend of evidence-informed, trauma therapy approaches tailored to your individual needs and goals. My primary modalities include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting (BSP), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP)—each offering a unique path for healing trauma, improving emotional regulation, and fostering deeper self-understanding.

If you'd like to explore how these modalities work together, please visit the Therapy Approaches page for more details.

  • All sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. While confidentiality is protected to the fullest extent of the law, please note that no electronic communication system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Clients are encouraged to use a private space and secure internet connection to further protect confidentiality.

  • What are your rates?
My standard fee is $180 per 50–60 minute session. I offer a limited number of sliding scale options based on financial need. If cost is a concern, you're welcome to bring it up during our consultation—we can talk through what might be workable.

Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. I offer a 15–20 minute phone consultation at no charge. This gives us a chance to connect, explore what you're looking for, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.Item description
